Day 2 - My first FULL day in my foster home!

To Auntie Grace's surprise, I slept through the night. I even moved from the carpet to the makeshift bed that Uncle John Ross made for me. I must admit, it was very soft and comfortable. I woke up when Auntie Grace woke up and she took me out to use the bathroom after she did inside. I still don't understand why I have to go outside to pee. Whatev. Anyway, when we came back, Uncle John Ross fed me. Then, I needed to go to the bathroom right away. For some reason Auntie Grace and Uncle John Ross wanted to wait. I was very anxious about it and I'm sure it showed because the next thing I know, Uncle John Ross was taking me out.

I was sad when Uncle John Ross had to leave. I wanted to go outside with him, but I got to hang out with Auntie Grace all day...even though she wasn't paying any attention to me. I used the bathroom in front of where she was sitting...that sure got her attention! I got to go outside again after that! When we got back, Auntie Grace put me on her lap while she was paying attention to whatever she was doing. I liked that a lot. She even wiped me with those nice, wet napkins. I'm glad she took care of whatever was making me itch so much, but then I had to go outside while she brushed my coat. I liked it when she brushed me against the coat, but not with...I get shivers just thinking about it. After my grooming, I was pooped and slept all day underneath Auntie Grace's chair, on the floor, and on the rug. I must've laid some stinky ones cause I would wake up to hear Auntie Grace's reaction every now and then. I don't understand what the big deal is - everyone does it.

Oh! I almost forgot. We had visitors today. That was exciting! I loved the attention. I showed them where I eat, nap, play, and sleep. I wish I didn't have to keep going up and down the stairs. Sometimes I have to rest on them. I wanted to show them where I use the bathroom, but Auntie Grace wouldn't let me go outside with them. That made me sad, but that was okay because I realized how tired I was and just went back to sleep. Then, I was rudely awakened in the middle of my nap by something Auntie Grace called rain. Auntie Grace wasn't doing anything about it, she just kept talking on her phone so I barked as much as she's ever heard me bark. That got her attention, but that stupid rain still didn't stop!

Anyway, I was happy when Uncle John Ross got home. He is so playful. I got to eat when he got home and my food was extra tasty. To my surprise, Auntie Grace treated me with some canola oil in my food! YUMMY! After we went for our walk so I could tae (I think that means poo in their Filipino language), we played for a little bit. I love giving kisses. Sometimes I can't control myself. I think I hurt Uncle John Ross by biting him a little on his ear. Oops! I don't think they like when I nibble or bite.

Auntie Grace and Uncle John Ross left me all alone in my crate today. I was a little scared because it was raining outside, but everything turned out to be A.O.K. They came back...and with goodies! Uncle John Ross even let me have a squeaky toy! I love my new bone and treats! I think I ate a little too much because when I felt the urge to use the bathroom, I ran straight down stairs. I don't think Auntie Grace and Uncle John Ross knew what was going on, but they eventually figured it out. I had to poo so bad, I went on the sidewalk the first time. Yes, I said the first time. I ended up going THREE times in one trip!

Anyway, overall today was a good day. I got used to my foster parents' home and now know where everything is. I forgot to tell you, I know how to sit pretty well and I even do it without a voice command! I think this is so they can put on my leash without me moving around so much. I also slept pretty well tonight, except for the freakin' nightmare I had. I woke up in a panic and tried to sleep in bed with Uncle John Ross and Auntie Grace, but they told me everything was okay and put me back to sleep in my bed. I hope they know how much I love them already!

My 1st Day with Auntie Grace @ Uncle John Ross'

Today I met my Auntie Grace and Uncle John Ross. They took me for a ride in a car, I think that's what they called it. It was dark and scary. I whimpered a little and got nervous and farted...I think at least 3 times. My crate was with me, but I didn't know what to do. When I finally got out, I was somewhere I hadn't been before. Auntie Grace took me for a walk and I took a big, soft poop. It was like soft serve. I can't believe Auntie Grace picked it up! At least she used something to cover her paws. When my business was done, Uncle John Ross walked with me and took me to his home. He almost carried me, but I showed him what a big girl I was and climbed up all on my own. When we FINALLY got there, I was exhausted and very thirsty. Auntie Grace fed me cold water...I think she called it ice. I liked it a lot! She made me sit for it. What a great treat! I think I made a mess because Auntie Grace was complaining about wiping my muddy paws.

Anyway, I think I drank a little too much...I almost went pee on Uncle John Ross' rug, but they stopped me right away. Then, Auntie Grace took me down the steps and then I went pee outside. I had to go up the stairs again, but I don't mind...it just takes me some time. I just get out of breath pretty easily. I like to stretch out on Uncle John Ross' floor to help me cool down.

I miss my friends. I tried to get Uncle John Ross to take me out and back to Sutton Lakes, but they think I just have to go pee. Stupid humans. They won't let me play with them like I did with the other dogs, but I was a little bigger than them.

I am tired. I had a big night. I got to go out three times tonight! I had to explore my new territory. Uncle John Ross made a bed for me, but I am comfortable right on the carpet. I tried to claim a spot on the bed, I even threw in my puppy dog face and little whimper...but they weren't having it. I miss Auntie Jackie and Uncle Chang - they let me sleep in bed with them! Oh well, maybe I'll try again tomorrow.
Some stuff that Auntie Grace picked up for me. Little did she know that I am already potty trained! Who needs training pads, ha! Uncle John Ross had to use that yellow spray already. The hypoallergenic moisturizing wipes felt really nice, especially after all that exercise I got from going up and down all those stairs! I can't wait to try those treats!!
